Walltown Lodge is an award winning, adults only B&B located in the idyllic Northumberland National Park in a fantastic location just 150 yards from what is acknowledged to be the most dramatic and beautiful stretch of Hadrians Wall. Since being reopened in 2016, Walltown Lodge has undergone complete refurbishement, with the most recent work being the replacement of all en-suites with brand new facilities wef Summer 2021. The B&B offers 3 comfortable, tastefully decorated en-suite rooms. Think country cottage with all mod cons....chunky throws, flagstone floors, vintage furniture meets flat-screen TV's, usb charger sockets and dab radios in all rooms. All rooms are located on the ground floor which makes them easily accessible for anybody with mobility problems.
Aquila Cottage is the newest addition, completed in April 2019 when it was converted from an old workshop. It offers guests the option of luxury self catering and absolute privacy from the main house. No expense has been spared to give you a high spec yet cosy and traditional country cottage, with features including exposed beams, log burner, fully equipped luxury kitchen with integrated appliances (dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven/hob and fridge with freezer compartment), microwave oven, 40" flatscreen smart TV, Blueray/DVD player, Amazo Echo smart assistant. On the first floor there is 1 bedroom where you will find a generous kingsize bed with a comfy memory foam mattress. The bathroom is sited across the landing, and houses a large, luxurious sit-in rainforest shower.

We are located on the site of the former Roman fort Carvoran, directly opposite The Roman Army Museum at Greenhead. The "Hadrians Wall Bus" which stops at the numerous historic sites along Hadrians Wall including Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Forts stops directly outside Walltown Lodge. Access to all of our wonderful history couldn't be easier!
Situated 150 yards from Hadrians Wall UNESCO world heritage site, directly opposite the Roman Army Museum and within a short 5-10 minute drive from Vindolanda, Housesteads and Birdoswald Roman Forts.
